LIMITED WARRANTY

Effective 10/01/2003

Jarrett aluminum and vinyl clad windows manufactured on or after 10/01/2003 are warranted to the original owner for 10 years after manufacture to be of high quality workmanship and materials, and to be free from defects which might render it unserviceable.  

Jarrett primed wood and natural wood windows are warranted to the original owner for 
1 year on the frame, 5 years on the glass from the date of manufacture to be of high 
quality workmanship and materials, and to be free from defects which might render it unserviceable.

All insulated glass in windows (under 60 sq ft) is warranted against failure of the 
air seal for a period of 20 years.  Jarrett Inc. will supply replacement glass only at no charge to the customer for the first 10 years.  From 10 years and 1 day to 15 years Jarrett Inc. will supply glass only at 50% of cost.  From 15 years and 1 day to 20 years at a cost to the customer of 75% of cost of glass only. 

Installation is not included in the warranty.  Should there be a failure of the air 
seal within the warranty period, the company shall supply the insulated glass only (upon 
receipt of customers portion if applicable) f.o.b. the original point of delivery

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

 Failure to follow installation instructions.  Variations in wood texture and/or color.  Windows installed without flashing and perimeter sealing.  Windows damaged prior to installation.  Non-compliance with building codes.  Natural causes and acts of God.  Terrorist acts.  Stress cracks.  Windows designed to customer specifications.  Windows using customer supplied leaded glass.  Minor glass defects which do not affect the serviceability of the window.  Windows modified by others.  Windows with the film applied to the glass.  Windows subjected to brick wash, acid cleaning or corrosive chemicals.  Damage caused by water infiltration around the window.  Damage from condensation.  Windows installed in exterior insulation and finish systems (synthetic stucco) that do not provide a properly engineered flashing and moisture drainage system.  Paint failure caused by scratches from handling or masonry installation.  Windows installed within 3 miles of costal waters that do not have high performance paint.  Wood windows not top coated with a high quality paint with in 30 days of installation.  Glass in windows 60 sq ft and over is not warranted.  Broken glass is not covered.  Windows installed in swimming pool enclosures or near hot tubs or spas.  Windows not properly maintained after installation (painting, caulking, cleaning, etc.)

Jarrett Inc. will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for installation, repainting, refinishing, or other similar activities necessary to complete the replacement.  Damage or defects reported more than 30 days after occurrence.

Hurricane resistant windows are covered under separate warranty.

There are no implied warranties of merchant ability or guarantees of fitness for a particular purpose.  In no event shall Jarrett Inc. be liable for any consequential, incidental and/or indirect damages or losses.  In no event shall the amount due hereunder be in excess of the purchase price, whether the claim is for a breach of warranty or negligence or otherwise.  This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

It is the purchasers responsibility to insure that the window meets all applicable building codes.

To make a claim under this limited warranty, you must contact the distributor, dealer or Jarrett Inc. at 330-426-4195.  You must have the original receipt, the name of the dealer and the approximate date of ordering
